A talk by Chris Palfreyman, Co-Director of Amantani

Amantani have been working in the Peruvian Andes for the last 11 years to bring equal educational opportunities to Quechua-speaking communities.

As an Anglo-Peruvian NGO, Amantani has some unique challenges, not excluding the adaptations required to work within the radically changing landscape the district of Cusco has undergone. Other challenges have included transitioning leadership from Amantani’s founders to local leaders.

Chris Palfreyman will present Amantani’s beginnings and their vision, leading into a discussion on the differences between fundraising in Peru and the UK, as well as how Amantani believes charities should communicate their work.

Agenda:

7pm: Talk by Chris Palfreyman on Amantani’s 11 years and their learnings

7:45pm: Q&A session

8pm: Drinks
