MEMBERSHIP

As per our rules “Any private individual, firm or corporate body, whether domiciled or resident in the United Kingdom, Peru or elsewhere, interested in the objects of the Society shall be eligible for election to membership.  The election of members shall be at the discretion of the Executive Committee, and membership is open to such private individuals, firms or corporate bodies. The Executive Committee may elect such applicants to Individual, Joint, Corporate, Life, Associate or Honorary membership” (Rule 3).

To apply for membership, you must be able to use our current payment provider for membership fees and give the names of two existing members as references, if applicable. In the absence of references, please, submit your reasons for joining our Society. Kindly send this information to membership@angloperuviansociety.org. Upon receipt of the information and your membership payment, the applicant will be notified of the Executive Committee’s decision.

“If there is doubt about an applicant’s interest in Peru or reasons for wishing to join the Society, the Secretary may ask him or her to discuss those interests with a designated member of the Committee” (Rule 4). If your application is not successful, the membership fee paid will be refunded to the same payment method used to apply.

Companies active in the UK are also encouraged to become corporate members, both to make business contacts and to increase the knowledge of their staff about Peru.
