The Anglo Peruvian Society is excited to present NESsT, following a fantastic demand for their sold out chat.

Peru represents Latin America’s largest market for social investing, a new form of investment that combines financial returns with social and environmental impact. Social investing contrasts with traditional approaches to community development, such as charitable donations, and is now estimated to represent a $502 billion market globally.

The presentation will provide an overview of the social investing sector in Peru and the use of entrepreneurial and investment approaches to impact the most remote communities of the country. The presentation will feature NESsT, one of the earliest impact investors in the country, which invests in enterprises that provide income-generation opportunities for low-income individuals in the sectors of sustainable seafood, ethical fashion, natural products, and cacao. Many of these enterprises operate in remote areas such as the highlands and Amazon.

Various case studies of enterprises will be featured during the presentation to give participants a flavor of the innovative business models that Peruvian entrepreneurs develop to achieve social impact.

The presentation will be designed to be an interactive conversation and will involve guests by providing opportunities to comment and ask questions throughout.

Due to the Covid-19 crisis, we shall be moving to Zoom; links will be shared closer to the event time.
