The Anglo Peruvian Society is proud to present
an evening of wonder with Marisol Mosquera,
who presents her recent journey through Northern Peru’s treasures.
Marisol Mosquera is the founder and CEO of Aracari Travel, a leading provider of high-end and sustainable travel in the Andean region.
Born in Peru and raised educated in Europe and the USA, Marisol is in a very good position to interpret, curate and showcase Peru's wonders to the world. And this is what she has done during the last 23 years, since she founded Aracari Travel in Lima, Peru. Marisol is the pioneer in the high-end cultural an adventure travel market in the Andean region. Her hands-on approach to travel has, for more than 20-years, ensured her clients experience a uniquely close connection with Peruvian life, culture and art.
Marisol’s dedication to authentic and experiential travel has seen her with many awards among them as Conde Nast Traveler specialist, and Travel + Leisure A-list agent for Peru and Bolivia and the prestigious Wendy Perrin Wow list.
Travel & Leisure Magazine once said of Marisol, “Mosquera brings not only elegance and panache to her work but also wisdom and a sense of history; she keeps you comfortable but helps you penetrate to the truest Peru, to experiences you might not otherwise have accrued until you’d visited the country 40 times.”
In addition to providing unique travel experiences, Marisol is a key player in the promotion of Andean culture and civilization. She has lectured and participated in panels in London, Spain and beyond, discussing Inca and pre-Inca culture, Peruvian gastronomy and contemporary art subjects. Marisol is a UK Trustee of Promujer, and also on the committee of the Anglo-Peruvian society in the UK.
Marisol currently splits her time between London where she lives with her son, and Lima, Peru where Aracari is based.
Always exploring and aiming to uncover hidden gems, Marisol embarked on a once in a lifetime journey with friends last August, from the ancient site of Caral to the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, discovering and enjoying the magic of Northern Peru. The many wonders of the journey, little known to most outsiders, is what she will uncover in this talk, illustrated with the magnificent photos captured by expert photographer and Peru enthusiast Max Milligan.
